A psycho-neurological boarding school was bombed near Kharkov. In the Izyumsky district, a direct hit was recorded in the Oskolsky psycho-neurological boarding school. This was announced by the head of the Kharkov regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov.
"Today, March 11, the enemy hit the Oskol psycho-neurological boarding school with a direct hit. 73 people managed to be evacuated to a neighboring boarding school, at the time of the defeat by the enemy there were 330 people in the boarding school! Of these, 50 are inactive, 10 are in wheelchairs. The number of victims is being established. This is a war crime against the civilian population, the genocide of the Ukrainian nation! The enemy has no choice but to cynically attack the civilian population," Sinegubov said.
Later it became known that at first the boarding house was shelled by artillery, then an air strike was carried out on it.
According to the State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region, the building collapsed due to an explosion. The building structures of the boarding school collapsed at the level of the 2nd and 3rd floors, and local fires broke out in several places.
At the time of the shelling, the staff and 330 patients (mostly elderly and disabled) at the boarding school were in hiding.
