The armed forces of Ukraine continue to defend Kharkiv. On morning of March 10 there are no Russian troops on the territory of the city; on the territory of the region they do not take active offensive actions. At the same time, Russian troops are resorting to air attacks: they are constantly shelling residential areas, announced the chairman of the Kharkov military administration Oleg Sinegubov.
In particular, over the past day, Russian troops carried out about 74 artillery and mortar attacks. Mostly areas with multi-storey buildings where civilians live are being shelled. On the night of March 10, the Smerch volley fire system attacked the city center. The Nikolsky shopping and entertainment center opened last year was destroyed, and nearby houses were also damaged: windows were broken in them.
In addition, as a result of the morning shelling of the outskirts of Kharkov, the gas pipeline was damaged. As a result, 30% of Kharkov consumers were left without gas. At the site of the rupture of the shell - a large fire.
Rescuers, when the shelling subsides, work to eliminate their consequences and sort out the rubble.
