24 thousand first-year students were dedicated to students in Kharkov

City-wide dedication to the students was held on September 1 at the Svoboda Sqr. in Kharkov. According to the website of Kharkov City Council, it was attended by 24 thousand first-year students, as well as students of other years, and all comers. The occasion was started with a parade of universities. At the square were the columns of students gathered under the flags of their universities. After that the chancellors went in order on the stage and signed a symbolic student card. Also there were the Chairman of Kharkov Regional State Administration Michayl Dobkin, Chairman of Regional Council Sergey Chernov, Acting Kharkov city head Gennady Kernes who came to congratulate the students. The hosts of the evening were Gleb Timoshenko and Igor Didenko (creative association "Two Friends"). A concert was performed by creative groups of universities, dance and vocal performances, fireworks, and at the end Potap and Nastya Kamensky sang.
As a first-year student told "SQ", previously, the students at universities have prepared some movements. During one of the songs at the square all the first-year students began to perform it simultaneously. Leaders of the flash mob were Potap and Nastya Kamensky. The concert ended with fireworks.
According to the Center of Public Relations General Directorate of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kharkov region, the event was attended by 100 thousand citizens. The protection order was provided by more than 500 police officers and 110 soldiers. Violation of the order was not fixed.
