Picket in support of Yulia Tymoshenko takes place in Kharkiv

Kharkiv Regional organization "Batkivschyna" holds a picket in support of the party leader, former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on December 13. According to the "SQ" correspondent from the scene, there are about 300 people on the Svobody Square.
Now in the Court of Appeal of Kyiv is meeting to consider the appeal of lawyers of Yu.Tymoshenko on the Pechersk district court decision, which sentenced former prime minister to seven years imprisonment in October. As the Deputy Head of the Kharkiv City Organization "Batkivschyna" Nikolay Pahnin, protesters gathered on the square "to warn the authorities about an illegal sentence of Yulia Tymoshenko". Protesters call for release of ex-prime minister. They are holding posters with slogans "Rule of Law!", "Today Yulia - You Tomorrow!" and "Yulia, save Ukraine!".
"SQ" Reference. October 11, the Pechersk Court in Kyiv sentenced Yulia Tymoshenko to 7 years imprisonment. She was found guilty under Part 3. 365 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power and authority) with disqualification to hold certain public offices for three years. The court also ordered Yu.Tymoshenko to reimburse 1 billion 516 million UAH to the "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and court costs too. October 24, Yulia Tymoshenko has appealed the court decision. Now Yulia Tymoshenko is in the Lukyanov jail in Kyiv.
December 13, several thousand supporters of Yulia Tymoshenko gathered near the court in Kyiv. From time to time there are clashes with protesters and police officers.
