A. Avakov plans to run for Parliament

Head of Kharkiv regional organization "Batkivschyna", the former chairman of the regional state administration Arsen Avakov plans to run for Parliament in the elections that will be held in autumn 2012. It was reported by the First Deputy Head of the Kharkiv regional organization "Batkivschyna" Irina Efremova on January 12. According to her, institution of a criminal case does not change plans of A. Avakov to participate in parliamentary elections.
According to I.Efremova, it is not known yet, whether A.Avakov runs on majority districts or by party lists. "The party is considering possibility of nomination of A. Avakov both on majority districts and by lists", said I. Efremova.
She added that A. Avakov is actively involving in affairs of the party, from time to time comes to Ukraine from abroad. According to I. Efremova, she met with A. Avakov in Kyiv three days ago. I. Efremova did not mention in which country the ex-governor is at this moment.
