Court arrested Yulia Tymoshenko twice

In the evening of December 8 the Shevchenko District Court of Kyiv granted a petition of the SSU investigator on electing a measure of restraint in regard of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in the form of custody in connection with the investigation of case of the corporation "United Energy Systems of Ukraine" (UESU).
As was reported by UNIAN news agency, tit was stated by the lawyer of Yu.Tymoshenko, MP Sergey Vlasenko. Relevant decision was taken by the court at the assizes held in the Lukyanov jail. According to S.Vlasenko, the main argument for the need to arrest former prime minister has been called that Yulia Tymoshenko "can evade the investigation at liberty". According to him, during the whole trial lawyer tried to explain that Yu.Tymoshenko is not free.
"SQ" Reference. October 11, the Pechersk Court in Kyiv sentenced Yulia Tymoshenko to 7 years imprisonment. She was found guilty under Part 3. 365 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power and authority) with disqualification to hold certain public offices for three years. The court also ordered Yu.Tymoshenko to reimburse 1 billion 516 million UAH to the "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and court costs too. October 24, Yulia Tymoshenko has appealed the court decision. Now Yulia Tymoshenko is in the Lukyanov jail in Kyiv.
