January 15, Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) "Golden Globe" was presented in the United States. The ceremony was held in Beverly Hills (California). It was reported by the News Agency "UNIAN" referring to the "Associated Press".
Best film of 2011 in the category "Drama" became "The Descendants" by Alexander Payne. Martin Scorsese received the prize for Best Director for the film "Hugo". George Clooney, who played a major role in "The Descendants", was recognized as the Best actor. Meryl Streep got the "Golden Globe" as the Best Actress for her role in "The Iron Lady".
The prize in nomination "The best Comedy or Musical" was received by the film "The Artist" by Michel Hazanavichus. For the role of the first plan in this category "Golden Globes" were obtained by Michelle Williams, who played in the film "My Week With Marilyn", and Jean Dujardin, who performed the role in "The Artist."
