Kharkiv Malyshev Factory has successfully completed factory testing of BTR for Iraq

SE Malyshev Factory (Kharkiv) has successfully completed manufacturing the BTR 4 batch for the Iraqi army and ready to shipping. It was reported "SQ" at the press service of the factory on December 26. All vehicles are fully assembled and their performance and fire trials were successfully carried out.
As was noted in the factory, delivery of products to customers has been scheduled for Dec. 26, but the Iraqi side agreed to receive vehicles later, after the New Year. Approximate time of arrival of inspectors is the second decade of January 2012
"SQ" Reference. The contract for the supply of the BTR-4 has made by the "Ukrspetsexport". According to the contract the Malyshev Factory in conjunction with the developer that is utility enterprise "Kharkiv Machine Building Design Bureau" had to make 420 vehicles. The first batch of 26 machines was sent to Iraq in late April 2011.
For the second batch the Malyshev Factory has prepared 18 BTRs (14 linear and four command vehicles.) Another 14 special BTRs were produced by the "Kharkiv Machine Building Design Bureau". In particular, the batch will include ambulance vehicles, and combat service vehicles. In general, the batch of 32 vehicles is prepared for shipment.
