Israeli companies will build greenhouses and commodity dairy complex for 6 thousand cows in Kharkiv region. This was stated by the deputy chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yuri Sapronov on December 22. According to him, investors will start the implementation of projects in 2012. The investments will total 150 million dollars.
According to Yu.Sapronov, Israeli companies will implement new innovative technologies for crop and livestock production in the region. "With the growing global demand for food, agriculture sector of economy arouses heightened interest of domestic and foreign investors", said Yu.Sapronov.
"SQ" Reference. As of the first 9 months of 2011 year enterprises of the region have foreign direct investments from 61 countries. The most significant volume of direct investments in the regional companies is put in by non-residents of France in amount of 1 billion 456.8 million dollars, 581.4 million dollars by Cyprus and 348.7 million dollars by the UK. Russia invested 37.6 million dollars, Poland - 34.6 million dollars.
Financial sector was invested by 1 billion 884 million dollars. Industrial enterprises have15.6% of direct investments of the region (431.9 million dollars).
