The budget of Kharkiv region in 2011 received 4.7 billion UAH that is 900 million UAH more than in 2010. Total about 20 billion UAH were received by Kharkiv budgets of all levels. This was reported by Kharkiv Regional Council Chairman Sergey Chernov on December 21.
"The fact that we have collected an additional 900 million UAH shows that the region's economy is developing. Basic industries such as engineering work with a growth rate of 20-22%. So there is a potential. Light industry, which for many years has been in stagnation, has added 25% compared to last year. So the budget is increasing as well as its volume", said Sergey Chernov.
According to him, in 2011, budget of development was increased by 30% and half of these funds were directed to medicine. According to Sergey Chernov, until the end of the week the Parliament plans to consider the State Budget for 2012. "If this is done, then at the next session we will be able to adopt budget of the region. Then we can start the year not with one twelfth of the budget but with full-fledged budget", said S. Chernov.
"I am sure that we will meet the coming New Year adequately, we will have no debt in the public sector", emphasized Sergey Chernov.
