Kharkiv will cooperate with Jerusalem

Kharkiv Mayor Gennady Kernes and Mayor of Jerusalem (Israel) Nir Barkat have agreed on cooperation in cultural, educational and scientific fields during a meeting at the Jerusalem City Hall. The official website of the Kharkiv City Council reported. According to G. Kernes, in the near future Israel will get an invitation for the delegation of Jerusalem, and both parties will discuss terms of cooperation in Kharkiv. Kharkiv Mayor also invited his Jerusalem counterpart to the matches of the European Football Championship 2012, held in Kharkiv.

December 19-20, Kharkiv Mayor G. Kernes has an official visit to Israel. During the visit, the Kharkiv Mayor visited local legislative body, the Knesset, also met with the head of the coalition Zeev Elkin, Transport Minister Yisrael Katz and the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilus III.
